How many eyelids does a camel’s eye have?

4.0/5 rating (3 votes)

Camels have three eyelids to protect from the desert sand.Camel eyes have three eyelids. They have upper and lower eyelids just like humans and a third eyelid that moves from the side of the eye and cleans it like a windshield wiper. These desert creatures have to deal with a lot of blowing sand and the extra eyelid helps to keep the sand out.
