There’s some truth in the saying that a camel could find it’s way though a sand storm with its eye’s closed. They can actually see through the third eyelid and keep it closed as extra protection during sandstorms. Comments (0)

Camel eyes have three eyelids. They have upper and lower eyelids just like humans and a third eyelid that moves from the side of the eye and cleans it like a windshield wiper. These desert creatures have to deal with a lot of blowing sand and the extra eyelid helps to keep the sand out.
