Are men more flakey then women? They have more skin. The average person sheds 4 kilograms (or about 8.8 pounds) a year. Humans shed 30,000-40,000 skin cells a minute! A large part of household dust is dead skin and the tiny creatures that like to eat it.

Why are we dropping bits of ourselves all over the place?
The skin is constantly shedding to help us get rid of harmful bacteria and viruses.  Cuts, burns and even dry cracked skin can by pass this protection lead to infection.

When you get right down to it, we're all a bit flakey. Men have more skin so they’re flakier than women.

smilies/shocked.gif I am shocked as to how much we shed... I knew we shed but 30 to 40 thousand skin cells is quite a bit, and not just per day but minute- ewwww! I am never playing Twister on the floor again lmao!
