Usually, there are 206 bones in the human body.  Roughly twenty-five percent are in your feet.  Why do we say roughly?  While typically there are 26 bones in each foot, there are many people who have extra bones called accessory ossicles. These extra bones generally don’t cause any problems and are probably an inherited trait.  Babies often have extra bones in their feet that fuse later in life.
